Recipes for Bisquick Casseroles

Everyone who knows me knows that I never do anything from scratch. Some of the best cooking I have ever done is with Bisquick. To me, Bisquick is just so much better than plain self-rising or all purpose flour. You just can't go wrong with it. I have 3 main courses that I want to share with you today featuring Bisquick.

Bisquick - Beef and Cheddar Casserole

1 cup Bisquick1 pound ground beef1 large onion chopped1 ? cups cheddar cheese shreddedJalape?os as few or many as you likeDash of pepper and salt1 ? cup evaporated milk1 bell pepper2 eggs

While you are getting started go ahead and preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Spray a large pie plate with Pam Spray. Now in a skillet brown the ground beef, onions, bell peppers, and if you dare to put any Jalape?os in the mix, just throw them in too. Drain off the grease after cooking and then add the pinch of salt and pepper.

You won't need much spice because of the onions and peppers and the heat if you added it. Now in a bowl mix up the eggs, milk and Bisquick; add about half the cheese to this mixture and then combine it all together with the meat mixture. Now pour it into the pie crust. Let it bake for about 25 to 30 minutes and then take out and add the rest of the cheese on top. Pop it back into the oven for about 10 minutes. This is delicious. It is really pretty with sliced tomatoes on the side.

Bisquick - Steak and Cheese Casserole

1 cup Bisquick1 pound ground beef1 can cream of mushroom soup1 cup sour cream1 large onionLipton Onion Soup Mix cup rice1 cups milk1  cups cheddar cheese shredded
Cook the rice and drain. Set aside till later.

In a skillet brown the ground beef and onion together. Add the Lipton soup mix with the amount of water it says to make soup. Let this simmer for a few minutes. Add the sour cream and mushroom soup. Now fold in the rice in the whole mixture.

Combine the Bisquick and the milk. Add the cheese to the Bisquick mixture and spoon it all over the casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until done; watch the crust that it doesn't burn.

These one dish meals are great for supper on a cold winter night.
Enjoy!
